Book Tower Restoration – Detroit, MI

Restoration of the magnificent 38-story Book Tower Building in Detroit, Michigan is underway, and Quaker Windows & Doors is excited to be a part of it.

This historic building, was originally thought to be a library or document archive due to it’s name, however, the Book building received its name due to the original owners (brothers Herbert, Frank and J. Burgess Book) who commissioned it back in 1926. The restoration  of this gorgeous testament to 20’s architecture and design is set to be completed in 2019, and will be mixed use space for both retail, office, and residential usage.

Check out all of the intricate details that are being restored, along with over 2000 of Quaker’s E300/H503 historically accurate windows that are being installed, in the video below from Curbed Detroit.
