Project Profile: St. Louis Public Schools

More than 3,000 Quaker windows were part of this 5.8 million dollar historical project that took place in late 2009/early 2010. A total of nineteen elementary schools were part of the massive replication project. Because each building was unique, thorough care had to be taken to make sure that historical values were met. Among the more intricate structures was Blow Middle School (now known as Lyon on Blow Elementary) where jamb depths of more than 12” had to be covered via historically-correct panning…
panning which was applied at Quaker’s manufacturing plant and carefully shipped to minimize damage upon arrival.
Products supplied for the project were Quaker’s H400 Series venting product,  H300 Series Single Hung, and numerous panning & sub-sill dies.
