Quaker Glass Plant Expansion

As part of Quaker Windows and Doors ongoing efforts to bring new innovation and automation to our manufacturing  facilities, Quaker has completed an expansion and modernization project at its insulated glass and tempering production facility.

Quaker processes over 50,000 pounds of glass on average each day and this new expansion and automation project allows Quaker to more than triple the daily output of insulated glass units that then go into the windows and doors manufactured at their one of their vinyl, wood and aluminum window and door production facilities.

Facilities and Automation

With the completion of the new glass expansion and automation project,  the facility has added:

  • Building addition to house glass warehouse and new jumbo glass receiving area.
  • New state-of-the-art Hegla gantry and robotic glass management system.
  • 2 – New Hegla High Speed Cutting Tables.
  • 3 – New Erdman Vertical High Speed Insulating Glass Lines.
  • New conservation friendly glass recycling center system.
